Beginner Level Program
Welcome to the ATHELITE Introduction to Explosiveness Program
This program is designed for young athletes (recommended for ages 9-16) who are just getting into lifting for the first time. This program is focused on building speed, strength, and athleticism while using minimal equipment.
I designed this program to allow young athletes to work out from home at any time of the year to allow them to develop their skills without needing to go to a gym or a trainer. This program is also designed to allow young athletes to follow it without needing excessive supervision or help, and there are detailed videos instructing them how to perform each exercise safely and effectively.
These videos show exactly how to safely perform the exercise, as well as exactly how many sets and repetitions they should aim for. The program also describes in detail exactly how the athlete should be progressing to ensure that the athlete is getting the results that they want.
This program consists of 4 unique workouts that are each meant to be performed once a week on top of any skill work that the athlete is working on. 4 days on, 3 days off allows the athlete proper time to recover to ensure that they are able to push themselves every single workout.
This program also includes a core workout for the athlete to perform separately from their workouts 3-4 times per week
A typical week would look something like this:
Monday - Day 1
Tuesday - Day 2
Wednesday - OFF
Thursday - Day 3
Friday - OFF
Saturday - Day 4
Sunday - OFF
This program is designed to work around your athlete’s schedule, so any mix of training days will still be effective.
